TP Dynamics is committed to delivering on our mission statement and conducting all aspects of our business activities in a socially responsible, ethical, and professional manner in accordance with our social responsibility statement.
MISSION STATEMENT
TP Dynamics believes all people should have the opportunity to live in safe, sustainable, and vibrant places; places that have a positive contribution to community, environment, and economy.
Through the development of quality residential and commercial spaces, TP Dynamics aims to make a meaningful contribution to the ACT region, and to do so by acting in a professional and responsible manner, treating our employees, customers, suppliers, and partners with equal courtesy and respect at all times.
SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY STATEMENT
TP Dynamics recognises ISO 26000 as a reference document that provides guidance for integration and implementation of social responsibility and socially responsible behaviour. In accordance with the principles of ISO 26000, TP Dynamics will endeavour to:
•Be accountable for our actions and activities;
•Be transparent about our activities and decisions that affect society, the economy and the environment;
•Operate in an ethical manner in all our business operations;
•Be mindful of and respect our stakeholder interests, both internal (employees and shareholders) and external (customers, suppliers, agents, business partners and advisors etc.);
•Respect the rule of law wherever we operate;
•Respect international norms of behaviour wherever we operate; and,
•Respect human rights in whatever we do and wherever we operate.
We recognise that social responsibility is a process that will develop and evolve with practice and time and one in which all our employees have a role to play.
PRINCIPLES UNDERPINNING THE POLICY
The following principles from ISO 26000 underpin the core subjects of corporate social responsibility. By integrating these principles into our operations, TP Dynamics can cultivate a culture of social responsibility that not only benefits the Canberra community, but is also critically important to developing our shared long-term sustainability and reputation.
1. Accountability
All businesses should demonstrate accountability by establishing clear channels for reporting, assessing, and rectifying their social and environmental impacts. Regular audits and transparent reporting mechanisms help uphold accountability.
2. Transparency
Transparent communication of policies, practices, and performance indicators builds trust with stakeholders. This includes openly disclosing information about environmental practices, labor conditions, and community engagement efforts.
3. Ethical behaviour
Upholding ethical standards involves adhering to fair labor practices, combating corruption, and ensuring project and service safety and integrity, by integrating ethical considerations into decision-making processes and supply chain management.
4. Respect for stakeholder interests
Engaging with stakeholders allows businesses to understand and address their diverse needs and concerns. Involving stakeholders in decision-making processes and actively seeking their feedback is important.
5. Respect for the rule of law
Compliance with local and international laws and regulations is crucial for maintaining legitimacy and minimizing legal risks. Businesses should ensure that their operations align with relevant legal frameworks and standards.
6. Respect for international norms of behaviour
Embracing global standards and best practices promotes consistency and coherence in social responsibility efforts. Businesses can participate in industry initiatives and adhere to international guidelines to demonstrate commitment to global norms.
7. Respect for human rights
Protecting and promoting human rights across all business activities is paramount. This includes ensuring fair treatment of employees, safeguarding against discrimination, and respecting the rights of communities affected by business operations.
SEVEN CORE SUBJECTS FORMING THE POLICY
Following ISO 26000, the following core subjects form TP Dynamics’ social responsibility policy.
1. Organisational Governance
TP Dynamics recognises the importance of sound corporate governance, giving employees, suppliers, contractors, project partners and the wider community confidence in our business. As part of this, we include accountability, transparency, and ethics in decision-making process and governing practices. We commit to establish processes and systems, to hold ourselves accountable.
2. Human Rights
TP Dynamics believes that human rights are the universal freedoms that apply to all human beings, regardless of race, gender, language, religion, national origin, or other status. These rights are based on the principle of respect for the individual and aim to protect people from abuse, discrimination, and exploitation. We support these human rights by:
•Allowing free organization and collective negotiation
•Providing equal employment opportunities
•Preventing all forms of discrimination
•Resolving grievances
•Seeking ways to prevent or mitigate adverse human rights impacts, including child labour.
3. Labour Practices
We believe that TP Dynamics’ labour practices must be consistent with the core values of the corporate social responsibility policy. its policies. This applies to employees, but also to any work done on our behalf, such as subcontracted work. Responsible labor practices address:
•Employment and contractual relationships;
•Working conditions and social protection;
•Social dialogue;
•Health and safety at work; and,
•Human development and training in the workplace.
TP Dynamics is an equal rights employer, we will not discriminate, in our recruitment process, during employment or in the case of dismissal, on the grounds of age, sex, ethnicity, colour, religion or disability.
We will comply with all laws and regulations on the rights of unions and collective bargaining and social protection (medical coverage, disability & maternity leave etc.).
We do not use child or forced labour and will avoid contracting with suppliers or subcontractors who use unfair or abusive labour practices, including child labour.
We commit to having formal health and safety policies and procedures in place and conduct training as appropriate. TP Dynamics shall undertake medical first aid training to members of staff in our operations in order to be able to provide ‘first aid’ assistance to our employees and stakeholders if required.
4. Environment and sustainability
TP Dynamics is aware that as a corporate entity conducting business, it has environmental obligations and is cognizant that its activities have an impact on the environment. TP Dynamics is committed to ensuring that our business is environmentally responsible and believe it is essential for us to achieve continuous improvements in sustainability in all operations and property development delivery.
We aim to conserve energy through the efficient use of natural resources and manufactured products. We will endeavour to prevent pollution from our own operations and operate environmentally friendly waste disposal and recyclable processes in line with ISO 14001.
TP Dynamics shall wherever possible practice green procurement and evaluate suppliers of goods and services on their environmental impacts., and review our carbon impact from our travel and operations and consider carbon offset programmes where appropriate.
Through our property development projects TP Dynamics also recognises its crucial role in both natural habitat protection and creation, and both mitigating the effects of climate change while also adapting to a changing climate.
5. Fair operating practices
Fair operating practices mean the way in which TP Dynamics interacts with others. In business. We endeavour deal ethically with customers, partners, suppliers, contractors, competitors, and government agencies to bring about positive results.
For TP Dynamics, fair operating practices include:
•Preventing corruption;
•Responsible political involvement;
•Fair competition;
•Promoting social responsibility in the value chain; and
•Respecting property rights.
6. Consumer Issues
TP Dynamics will engage with its clients and potential clients in an honest and ethical manner, to promote long term working ‘partnerships. We will ensure our marketing material is fair, accurate and not misleading. Our business development activities will be conducted honestly and transparently.
For clients, customers, and contractors, the contractual arrangements we enter into will be responsible and fair, and we will endeavour to provide what we have agreed and contractually committed to. This Includes:
•Fair marketing practices;
•Protection of health and safety;
•Sustainable consumption;
•Consumer education;
•Dispute resolution;
•Data and privacy protection;
•Upholding fair use; and,
•Ensuring that essential products and services are available to everyone, including vulnerable or disadvantaged groups.
7. Community Involvement and development
TP Dynamics is mindful that we have an impact on the communities where we operate and build and our active participation contributes to the well-being of these communities. Our community involvement is underpinned by the following aspects:
•Promotion of education and culture;
•Job creation and skills development;
•Technology development and access;
•Income and wealth creation;
•Health promotion; and,
•Social investment.
8. Annual reporting
TP Dynamics commits to annual public reporting against the elements of this policy. This reporting shall provide measurement against the Corporate Responsibility Policy including the economic, environment, social and governance performance.
